What's been going on while we wait!

So we are still waiting! As you read, we got rescheduled until the 18th and it was REALLY hard on me. I have tried to keep the mindset that he will come home when God wants him home! But that wasn't so easy on Thursday when we received the email. Then I was seeing a lot of families that their cases were heard on Monday and that they passed! I am so excited for those families and wondering why we didn't get that same call! But God is in control, not me!

Since we have been waiting we have been busy. They are busy building another room upstairs so all 4 kids can be together! We have had people in and out of our house like crazy! But the builders are great, they are like family! I like having them around! Can't wait to see the new room!

I had surgery on my foot and I have stitches and am in a bootie!!! Let me tell you, lots of fun! It was quite an experience since I was AWAKE the whole time! I get my stitches out on Friday and it's back to shoes! Woo-hoo! Little Maya had an accident yesterday she feel off a stool in the kitchen and landed with her mouth!:( She has a bruised gum and teeth and a BIG FAT lip with a nice gash in it! I feel so bad for her! But she is so tough! I knew she was hurt when she cried longer than 10 seconds!

J and I went to KC to Babies R Us and got little man a new stroller and a new car seat! I can't wait to put him in them. I just want to hold him and kiss him and let him meet his new family!

My good friend Sarah is in Korea as we speak bringing home her little girl Jia! SOOOOO excited to meet her on Monday when they come home! Can't wait to squeeze her! She is a doll.

My Mother's Day was awesome! My husband and kids spoiled me rotten! I am such a blessed girl!

Ella and Max have been busy with school and doing great! Pray for May 18th that we would pass court! We ALL want our baby home ASAP!!!

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!!!

Tomorrow is our court date! Let's just hope and pray that we pass, that God has favor on us! We really want to get our little man home! And if we don't pass tomorrow, then I know that God's timing is perfect!!! But I really hope His timing is the same as mine!:)

Tomorrow will be a busy day. Maya has school, I have Mother's Day shopping to do, Maya's haircut and then I have to get a cyst cut out of my foot! YUCK!!! We will not know anything for up to a week I don't think. So this week shall be fun just waiting! If you think about it, pray for me tomorrow at 2 for my foot! I'll keep you posted!

The Ethiopian Prince is growing!!!

We got a medical update on little man today. He is up to 19.8 pounds and 26.4 inches! He is still below the 5th percentile in height but he moved up to the 10-25th percentile in weight! Way to "grow" buddy! It also stated that he had an ear infection.:( Poor little man. I'm pretty sure he's a Freudenthal baby with the ear infections! He is crawling, pulling up to stuff and walking with assistance! And the report said that he does not refuse anyone holding him!!! YAY!!! Maybe that means he'll take very easily to us! We pray so! Anyway, just wanted to give a little update on our guy! Have a great weekend!

An Aching Heart!

Tonight my heart aches for our little Ethiopian Prince! I am just ready to have him home with us! To see him interact with his brother and sisters, to love him and care for him!:( I know it is all in God's timing, but I just hope we pass court that first time! May 4th people, be praying!:) I look at his picture ALL the time and I love how the kids want to see his picture too! We even tell Max he and his baby brother have the same long eyelashes!!! Soon he will be ours forever!

On another note, we had a good weekend. I had a girls night with some friends in KC. And we had the Vintage Gardens Fashion Show! The girls were adorable and had SOOO much fun! It was sooooo Maya and Ella's thing! Then we had our nieces for the evening. So we took 5 kids to the mall! We kept laughing at the looks we got from people, pity looks. They looked at us with pity!!! We had a lot of fun though. And Sunday we went to church and watched movies ALL day! It was so nice and relaxing.

OK, well I am done for now, not too much to report! Have a great week friends!

One Step Closer and Construction!

Hello, we got an email this week that stated that our I600 approval was in Ethiopia and approved! That is one step closer. We are just really praying that we will pass our court date on the 4th. And we can bring our baby boy home.

It is kind of starting to hit me that I will have 4 kids and that one of them will be a toddler! It's been a long time since I've had a toddler! I can't wait! I hope he likes us and bonds quickly with us! We are praying for that also. That he would have a supernatural connection with us! I'm sure every adoptive parent prays this!

They started construction on the new bedroom this week! It is going to be very cool! Max is totally excited. I'm just ready to be settled. Although I'm so glad to have my builder family back! It seems like we say them all the time for a year and then it just stopped! But now they are back and they are great! I love having them here. And so does Maya! She says she wants to be a builder Mom when she grows up!

Have a great weekend!

New Pictures!!!

Hello Everyone,

Today was a busy day, got the kids off to school, went and ran outside which was beautiful! Came home and Joe was cleaning out the garage! I got a lot of good laughs because I don't think he realized what he was getting into when he asked me to help! We had things in the garage that we had not yet unpacked from when we built the house 2 years ago! So I was going through tubs and bags and boxes reminiscing about everything and asking Joe to look at EVERYTHING I pulled out! He finally had it and said, "I don't have to look at everything you get out!" He just was not appreciating the memories!!! And he kept making me throw stuff away, he said he heard enough that it was "Ella's first" we didn't need to keep it. And he made me get rid of my chunky heeled shoes! What if they come back in style! He said he'd buy me new ones! You all remember that when the time comes!:) Anyway, he did a great job! I retired quickly!

Grammy came to take Maya to the library and so I had a couple of hours to myself, I did my Bible study and then took a nap. When I woke up I checked my email and to my surprise there were new pictures of little man in better resolution. So we actually got to see what he looks like and let me tell you, I think he may be a girl!!! He is beautiful, he has the most precious droopy lips and ears! I want to squeeze him. I can't wait to get him home and put him in some cute clean clothes. He had a girls sleeper on with stains all over it! It breaks my heart.

I am really trying to not get too wrapped up in getting him home, but seeing his picture is making it really hard. So remember to pray for our court date in Ethiopia on May 4. If we pass court that day we will travel to get him 6-8 weeks from that date! Lord please have favor on us! Have a great night!
