Hello all my 5 followers!:) You guys are the "faithful 5"!!! I got an email from Barabara our social worker, she had written up the home study and it just needed to be revised! So she did a great job, there were a few mistakes but we have been approved through Holt Oregon. We are just still waiting on the Child abuse screening! As soon as we get that we can head to KC to get everything certified and notarized and get our dossier and home study in the mail! YAY!
On another note, Max turned 6 yesterday so we had a little celebration for him. He had a great day. Joe had LASIK eye surgery that didn't go so well on Thursday, we had to take him back to KC yesterday and he had to have the right eye redone! Praise God he is doing much better today!
Have a great weekend!

Today was an exciting day, one of my best friends Sarah got her adoption video of her little girl Jia! And boy is she ever precious! I can't wait for them to get her home so I can love on her! She has the chubbiest little cheeks and the sweetest little face! It feels like it is going to be forever before we even get a referral! But I'm OK with that. In the meantime I plan to enjoy my 3 kids.
Speaking of my kids, it is birthday season at the Freudenthal house! Maya turned 4 on the 18th and it seems so strange that my BABY is 4! Although she keeps reminding me that she is 4 now and not a baby anymore! Apparently a lot changes overnight when you turn 4!:) Today we were in Kmart and she just blurts out the Pledge of Allegiance! She is just a baby, she shouldn't know that! It is the cutest thing ever, she says, "indibisible"! I love her!
Max is going to be 6 on Friday! WOW!!! I was reading through his baby book and it just seems like yesterday that I found out I was having a boy. He is so much fun. He is starting to read now, it is so bittersweet, I am so proud of him but at the same time it breaks my heart that he is old enough to read! Tomorrow he and I are heading to the dr. after school, he has a rash, then we are going to go pick out cupcakes for his class and his birthday decorations! I love my boy!
Ella is going to be 9 on February 10th! That one really gets me. My first ever baby is going to be 9! She really is growing up! I am so annoying to her! She gets irritated at me if I act too silly! But then she laughs! She is a lot of fun to watch grow up. She is playing basketball right now and she is a defensive specialist!:) She is also really helpful with her sister and brother. I love my oldest girl!
Tomorrow Joe is having Lasik on his eyes! Keep him in your prayers! I love him a lot too!
This is just a rambling blog! Thanks for listening to me ramble! I love that my kids are growing up and I love watching them grow, but I also love them being little! Good thing we have another baby coming! I wonder how many adoptions I can talk Joe into!:) Have a great night and God bless you!

Well, if anything crazy is going to happen to someone it is me! I am a freak of nature!!! Today I was making my bed and pulled up a little too hard on the covers and smacked my hand on the wood ledge of the bed! Joe came in and had "that look" on his face. He said he thought I may have broken it! So I immediately started sweating, almost threw up and passed out and laid down. He was yelling at me to get control of my thoughts! I do not do good in these situations! I went to the dr. had an xray and it is not broken, but it is bruised and has a huge knot on it! And it doesn't feel too good! A day in the life!
In adoption news, we are still waiting for our child abuse screening to come in so we can have our home study complete. We have our dossier finished, just waiting for the copy of the home study so we can take everything to get state certified and notarized! So we are just waiting! I can't believe that this time next year I will have an adorable little brown baby! Another baby! YAY!!! Maya asks me everyday if we are getting the baby today! I wish! Well, have a great night and God bless!

We decided to start a blog to track our journey through adoption! We are adopting from Ethiopia, not sure if we are getting a girl or a boy! This has been something that has been a long time coming! I'm not an eloquent writer, just plan to share our story and get the word out about Ethiopia and the 5 million orphans there. It says over 60 times in the Bible to take care of the orphans, the widows and the poor! This is a journey God has put us on and we are so excited to see how it all works out!
