The Ethiopian Prince is growing!!!
We got a medical update on little man today. He is up to 19.8 pounds and 26.4 inches! He is still below the 5th percentile in height but he moved up to the 10-25th percentile in weight! Way to "grow" buddy! It also stated that he had an ear infection.:( Poor little man. I'm pretty sure he's a Freudenthal baby with the ear infections! He is crawling, pulling up to stuff and walking with assistance! And the report said that he does not refuse anyone holding him!!! YAY!!! Maybe that means he'll take very easily to us! We pray so! Anyway, just wanted to give a little update on our guy! Have a great weekend!

An Aching Heart!
Tonight my heart aches for our little Ethiopian Prince! I am just ready to have him home with us! To see him interact with his brother and sisters, to love him and care for him!:( I know it is all in God's timing, but I just hope we pass court that first time! May 4th people, be praying!:) I look at his picture ALL the time and I love how the kids want to see his picture too! We even tell Max he and his baby brother have the same long eyelashes!!! Soon he will be ours forever!
On another note, we had a good weekend. I had a girls night with some friends in KC. And we had the Vintage Gardens Fashion Show! The girls were adorable and had SOOO much fun! It was sooooo Maya and Ella's thing! Then we had our nieces for the evening. So we took 5 kids to the mall! We kept laughing at the looks we got from people, pity looks. They looked at us with pity!!! We had a lot of fun though. And Sunday we went to church and watched movies ALL day! It was so nice and relaxing.
OK, well I am done for now, not too much to report! Have a great week friends!

One Step Closer and Construction!
Hello, we got an email this week that stated that our I600 approval was in Ethiopia and approved! That is one step closer. We are just really praying that we will pass our court date on the 4th. And we can bring our baby boy home.
It is kind of starting to hit me that I will have 4 kids and that one of them will be a toddler! It's been a long time since I've had a toddler! I can't wait! I hope he likes us and bonds quickly with us! We are praying for that also. That he would have a supernatural connection with us! I'm sure every adoptive parent prays this!
They started construction on the new bedroom this week! It is going to be very cool! Max is totally excited. I'm just ready to be settled. Although I'm so glad to have my builder family back! It seems like we say them all the time for a year and then it just stopped! But now they are back and they are great! I love having them here. And so does Maya! She says she wants to be a builder Mom when she grows up!
Have a great weekend!

New Pictures!!!
Hello Everyone,
Today was a busy day, got the kids off to school, went and ran outside which was beautiful! Came home and Joe was cleaning out the garage! I got a lot of good laughs because I don't think he realized what he was getting into when he asked me to help! We had things in the garage that we had not yet unpacked from when we built the house 2 years ago! So I was going through tubs and bags and boxes reminiscing about everything and asking Joe to look at EVERYTHING I pulled out! He finally had it and said, "I don't have to look at everything you get out!" He just was not appreciating the memories!!! And he kept making me throw stuff away, he said he heard enough that it was "Ella's first" we didn't need to keep it. And he made me get rid of my chunky heeled shoes! What if they come back in style! He said he'd buy me new ones! You all remember that when the time comes!:) Anyway, he did a great job! I retired quickly!
Grammy came to take Maya to the library and so I had a couple of hours to myself, I did my Bible study and then took a nap. When I woke up I checked my email and to my surprise there were new pictures of little man in better resolution. So we actually got to see what he looks like and let me tell you, I think he may be a girl!!! He is beautiful, he has the most precious droopy lips and ears! I want to squeeze him. I can't wait to get him home and put him in some cute clean clothes. He had a girls sleeper on with stains all over it! It breaks my heart.
I am really trying to not get too wrapped up in getting him home, but seeing his picture is making it really hard. So remember to pray for our court date in Ethiopia on May 4. If we pass court that day we will travel to get him 6-8 weeks from that date! Lord please have favor on us! Have a great night!

Ader-bugs Island Bedding!
We had so much fun today! It was a beautiful day and we played outside and did yard work the kids. Then later this afternoon we Joe and I headed to the Plaza by ourselves! It was very nice. We made some last minute dinner plans and had a great dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! Lots of fun! But the most fun was getting to buy Ade's bedding! We got him the Santa Barbara bedding and it is so precious. It has little black boys on it! I am in love. And Joe actually liked it too! It makes it more real to buy him things! I love it. It is so much fun.
Our friends Lacey and Joe brought their 1 year old Maggie to dinner tonight and it was so fun playing with her and remembering what it is like to have a little one around. It is going to be so fun to have our baby boy home. Lord please let us travel freakishly fast!!! I'm sure that's the prayer of EVERY adoptive parent! I am tired and heading to bed! Good night all!

One trip and more pictures!
So we found out last week that we are only going to have to make one trip to Ethiopia to pick up baby Ade. Which is a blessing. All of our paperwork is in Ethiopia and it has to be there by May 1st I believe. So praise God that is an answered prayer! We are praying that we would get him in June or July!
I was shocked on Wednesday to open up my computer and find new pics of him!!! I was told that they were having some issues getting pictures from Ethiopia and so far we have gotten 4! He is the most beautiful baby and he is tiny. I looked up his percentiles on the growth chart and he is below the 5th percent in both height and weight! He has the cutest black curly hair ever! We are so in love! Ella keeps saying, "I can't wait to get him home!" I am right there with you sister!
So that is a little update! I'm not even sure that anyone reads this, but hey it's fun!
